EWSC Project Reports

The Enabling Water Smart Communities (EWSC) project team welcomes an update to the water efficiency standards within Building Regulations Part G, as we believe they can play a pivotal role in helping drive forward sustainable growth. However, based on the proposed changes tabled as part of this consultation, we fear that there is a danger that this great opportunity may sadly be missed.

This document lists EWSC’s response to the consultation, including our suggested amendments. We encourage the Government to use this opportunity to ensure that these Building Regulations play an instrumental role within a new regulatory framework that supports long-term resilience, ensuring that new developments delivered in the coming years make more efficient and sustainable use of water resources.
